My hand-drawn lifestyle, food, travel, and architectural illustrations attract a wide range of national and international clients from editorial and advertising to design and product branding. The work celebrates what the food and travel industry has to offer with an additional graphic twist evoking a fresh, visual sense of time and personal place whether it’s maps designed to depict geographic context and content; finding the way to the perfect eatery; a fine wine label, or how to truffle hunt in Croatia. In my reportage work I often explore the ‘behind the scenes’ aspect of the subject and have worked with The Welsh National Opera, The Natural History Museum, The Old Vic Theatre, Free Range Films, Waitrose Food Illustrated, The Times Newspaper and Broxbourne Printers among others and have illustrated the production of an opera or a film; the design and printing processes of a newspaper; the preparation of a small mammal specimen for exhibition, or the making of a pot of jam in order to communicate the narrative of the processes and people behind the public face of an organisation or brand. I have a strong reputation for working to tight deadlines and always delivering on time. My passion for illustration is underpinned by my academic role as Senior Lecturer and Third Year Coordinator on the B.A (Hons) in Illustration Animation at Kingston University. close
