After graduation (1980) from the Alberta University of the Arts (then Alberta College of Art) I worked for a few years in small studios in Calgary, before starting a long venture designing greeting cards for Hallmark, in Kansas City. In 2002, after 19 years at Hallmark, I was recruited to work for American Greetings, doing the same, and adding art direction to my palmares. While doing freelance illustration on the side, from 1980 on, in 2008 I left AG and began to work full time as a freelancer. In that time I've worked for numerous clients and have stayed steady with assignments - from editorial illustration, CD covers, T-shirt Designs, advertising, portraiture. I specialize in digital and traditional line work with color and texture added. I'm also currently involved in numerous children's books, as well as doing my own work, usually in pen and ink - my favorite medium. close
