Andrea Cira is happy to share two animated illustrations she create for USC Annenberg's First Person Story feature for their Summer Magazine! These illustrations represent the author’s experience during her Spring break immersion trip in Mexico City.
The illustrations bring to life key moments from her journey, such as the emotional moment she discovers her acceptance into the summer program and imagines her entire journey while listening to Alejandro Fernández’s song “Como quien pierde una estrella.” They also capture her experiences in the city, exploring Frida Kahlo’s iconic blue house, trying chilaquiles for the first time, enjoying a boat ride in Xochimilco, watching Lucha Libre, and making new friends.
