DAVID COOPER'S NEW BOOK "THE DOLL TEST"

David Cooper illustrated the cover and interior pages of "The Doll Test," a new book written by Carole Boston Weatherford.

"The Doll Test" focuses on pivotal testimony in the landmark Brown v. Board of Education lawsuit. In the historic “doll test,” psychologists Kenneth and Mamie Clark used four plastic dolls, identical except for hair and skin color. They showed the dolls to Black children between the ages of three and seven and asked questions to determine racial perception and self-esteem.

In a time when politicians are literally trying to erase history, it’s been an honor and privilege for David to work on this project preserving this most strange time.
